THE VIG (Bell & Thompson Peak Pkwy)
A perfect place to top for lunch or dinner after a long Tom’s Thumb hike. With a variety of southwestern spins on pub grub and live music, you will feel at home on the patio. Try the “Make it Reign” cocktail for a refreshing drink.
DO
THE GATEWAY TRAIL
A 4.4 mile loop that is moderately challenging. It should take about 2 hours to complete and is open year-round. You will find it populated with other hikers and mountain bikers. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed. The views at sunrise are incredible and there are panoramic views of the city for most of the loop.
PINNACLE PEAK TRAIL
This trail is about 3.5-4 miles out and back & moderately challenging. Great trail for birding, hiking, or mountain biking. No dogs are allowed on this trail.
GREYHAWK GOLF COURSE
Two par 72 golf courses with public golf privileges. Both are considered to be among the best course in Scottdale. Dine at Phil’s Grill or Isabella’s Kitchen when you’re done!
TALIESIN WEST
Tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home and studio. It was built and maintained almost entirely by Wright and his apprentices making it among the most personal of the architect’s creations.
