MAIL.BOX.ART No.10 – TIFFANY FEATHERSTONE

ARTIST STATEMENT: I am inspired by music, travel, human interaction, and nature. I tend to work largely with bright, vibrant or dramatic hues from acrylic paint, gold leaf, and mica. My multi-layered process is more tactile in that I pour the medium over hand-drawn and carved templates made from tape created over and over until the piece is completed, which can be painstakingly tedious. But, for me, art is simply small details yielding a beautiful outcome.

I started the MAIL.BOX.ART PROJECT as a way to share my passion for art and support independent artists. From time to time, I feature work by an artist that I love. Each piece is meant to be enjoyed, savored, and saved. I hope this inspires you to start or grow your art collection.
