Artist Statement:

I work largely with the figure, yet as of late exploring more abstract methods of representation.  I am drawn to positive/negative space, mysteriousness, and intimacy, wanting the viewer to make their own interpretation.  I studied drawing and illustration in school and I'm a self-taught painter. I prefer oils, I love the spontaneity of the paint and using color to create space.  

I grew up in the Midwest but longed to see the bigger world.  I have lived in Paris, New York, Minneapolis, and currently Portland, Oregon, I look forward to finding the next place in this world to live and explore

I started the MAIL.BOX.ART project as a way to support artists and share my love for art with my clients and friends. Throughout the year, I commission pieces from inspiring artists that are meant to be enjoyed, savored, and saved.
