TILE DREAMING FROM ALHAMBRA
This summer, I found myself in the South of Spain. When in Granada, one must eat tapas and visit the Alhambra, a Moorish architectural masterpiece dating back to the 13th century, which stands as a symbol of human creativity. I could go on and on about how breathtaking the property was, with its intricate craftsmanship, serene courtyards, and delicately carved archways. However, what really captivated me was the tilework. I was in awe of how, even 700 years later, the tilework remains relevant today, both in shape and color palettes. It speaks to the essence of what good design is – style that transcends the years and generations.
Enjoy a little peek into the tile world of Alhambra.
